The mostly-round pearls are well matched for size and shape and paired with 925 sterling silver findings. The mother's pearl strand measures 18 inches in length and closes with a filigree clasp, while the daughter's has a 13-inch length and a simple spring ring clasp. Both sets of pearl stud earrings (6.5-7 mm for the mother's and 4-4.5 mm for the daughter's) are featured on sterling silver posts with butterfly friction backs. These pearls come packaged in a pretty pink gift box, adorned with an organza ribbon bow.

As the review title suggests, this is my first set of pearls. I know it's a mother/daughter set, but I read another review that suggested using the daughter necklace double-wrapped as a bracelet. That, however, didn't work for me; I couldn't quite get it to clasp when it was wrapped twice around my wrist, so I might end up having to give the daughter bracelet to one of my nieces. Either way, I LOVE how the mother necklace and earrings look together for special occasions and how the daughter earrings are subtle yet sophisticated for everyday wear.
A lot of earrings (even hypoallergenic ones) make my ears itch, but these wear as though there's nothing there. It's great.
The pearls on the mother's necklace are definitely not round as suggested though. Instead, they are more egg-shaped; however, the ones that make up my necklace are really uniform in their egg-shapedness and look as though they were shaped that way on purpose. It gives the necklace a character that I really enjoy.
The only reason why I gave this 4 rather than 5 stars is because I would have liked the daughter's necklace to have another inch on it. (I know I'm not using it as intended if I try it as a bracelet, but I don't think it would even be large enough for a twelve-year-old to comfortably wear around her neck.)

I bought this set to share with my daughter on Mother's day. I told her she made me a mom and I loved her and I wanted to share something with her that we could keep forever.
I got these on a Gold Box deal so it was a great price. I was feeling a little skeptical when I ordered them but I was pleasantly suprised when I received the box.
This is a beautiful set. Great quality and nice sized. The daughter sized pearls are the most precious thing.
My daughter was very happy and loved them. She wore hers in this year's school picture.

My husband bought this set to have my daughter give it to me for Mothers Day. When she realized that it was a set we would both use she was even more thrilled! What little girl doesn't like to wear thing like mommy has?? We put the necklaces and earrings on immediately and wore them all the rest of the day! Now whenever we go somewhere (even to the grocery store) she asks if we should put on our matching jewelry!
The necklaces are nicely made and should last for years. the one drawback to the necklaces is that they are close enough to chokers, I would have liked a little more slack in mine. It was not TIGHT but I personally do not like straight around the neck, I like a little slack so it drapes a little. The Pearl earrings did not make our ears itch or break out after a full day of wear.
The best thing about this set in my opinion is the wonderful memories we will have of wearing our matching sets to special occasions together!
